LIGHT FOR TODAY, PREPARED FOR TOMORROW
The City of Dornbirn holds a special place in our hearts as it's the home of our parent company Zumtobel Group and sister Brand Zumtobel Lighting. It goes without saying that when it came to upgrading the public lighting, a solution which could not only light 'today' but also be prepared for tomorrow was at the top of the agenda.
With a clear focus on energy efficiency, contemporary light quality, and sustainable urban development, Isaro Pro was the solution. 1,550 of them infact with Zhaga sockets so they are UrbaSens Ready, for future IOT/Connectivity upgrades. These luminaires provide 3000 K warm white light realising environmental needs thanks to Dark Sky Approval of the luminaire alongside ensuring safety in the hours of darkness.

THE FUTURE PROOF SOLUTION
With the renovation of its public lighting, the city of Dornbirn has set a forward-looking example of sustainable urban development. At the heart of the solution is the Isaro Pro LED luminaire - a robust, high-performance, and installation-friendly luminaire specifically developed to meet the demands of modern urban and traffic planning.
A total of around 1,550 Isaro Pro luminaires were installed, equipped with Zhaga sockets Up & Down, enabling future integration of intelligent control systems. Autonomous night dimming is already implemented, further reducing energy consumption while minimising light pollution. The luminaires emit warm white light (3000 K) – a conscious decision in favour of quality of stay, biodiversity, and nighttime tranquility whilst also having Dark Sky Approval.
FLEXIBLE AS STANDARD
A special feature of the project is the adaptation to ten different street profiles: from densely built-up inner-city areas to loosely built residential zones and free-standing road sections in green spaces. The Isaro Pro masters this diversity with its R-PEC optics, which enable precise light distribution without stray light. This ensures that light is directed exactly where it is needed – on roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths – and not into adjacent living spaces or natural areas.
The luminaire (at 3000 K) is Dark Sky certified, making it the ideal solution for cities actively combating light pollution. Its high protection rating, durable die-cast aluminium construction, and easy maintenance - such as tool-free access to components – also make it economically attractive. With a lifetime of up to 100,000 hours and a luminous flux of up to 28,000 lumens, the Isaro Pro offers a reliable, energy-efficient, and future-proof solution for all types of traffic areas.
