Currently, 30% of light output over Europe is lost to light pollution. This equates to €3.3 billion in wasted energy costs and 21 million tonnes of CO₂ per year—the equivalent of the annual carbon capture of 875 million trees. At the same time, health and well-being have become increasingly central to our life balance. As people become more active, we need flexible lighting solutions for indoor and outdoor Multi-Use Games Areas (MUGA) applications. Artificial light enhances our perception of safety and extends opportunities for exercise into the evening. However, it’s just as important to consider the impact on nocturnal wildlife, local biodiversity and the night sky. That’s why it’s essential to strike the right balance—with optimised, uniform light.
